Workday Rising 2018 Recap

Workday Rising Recap 2018

Workday Rising 2018 has come to a close, but the keynotes, announcements, and parties are worth remembering.

Without further ado, let’s recap …

The Announcements:

  • Workday introduced a new Partner Marketplace. Don’t forget to check out how we can help with your W-4s down to the local level and ACA reporting – just search “CIC Plus”.
  • Skills Cloud assists hiring managers in identifying acquired skills and skills gaps as they relate to a specific open position within the company.
  • People Analytics uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify issues and gain real-time measurements in the workforce, for example asking a chatbot to identify the percentage of males to females at the executive level.

Thank you for helping CIC Plus give back to Las Vegas:

We are happy to announce that CIC Plus donated $2500 to the Las Vegas Healing Garden, a charity that benefits those affected by the tragic shooting last year. Thank you to all who contributed to this donation by stopping by our booth!

“Trust, respect, credibility, fairness, care, and the people are factors that make a great place to work.”
– Michael Bush, CEO, Great Place to Work

The Speakers:

Andre Agassi kicked off Workday Rising as the featured keynote speaker Monday night. He shared his perspective on tennis today and growing up playing the sport. But most powerfully, he spoke about living your legacy today and his work in the non-profit education space. Takeaway quote: “What are we doing? How do you want to engage with your life?”

Day three began with Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work, hosting a panel of company culture leaders. Panelists included Mike Mallow of Quicken Loans, Shamim Mohammad of Carmax, and Robyn Sisco of Workday – all of whom have appeared on Fortune’s Best Places to Work list for several consecutive years. Our takeaway quote: “Trust, respect, credibility, fairness, care, and the people are factors that make a great place to work.” – Michael Bush.

The Expo Hall:

The Expo Hall continues to grow every year! New partners, more Workday break-out spots, puppies, and massages are all great additions to the week!

The Expo Hall is a great place for Workday’s strategic partner ecosystem to showcase the best in breed solutions to complete their Workday investment. Partners bring incredible value to Workday customers, from successfully deploying solutions to adding value once a client has gone live, Workday partners further enhance client processes to achieve the ultimate employee experience, adoption, and efficiencies sought after with an upgrade to the Workday platform!

The Parties:

The parties were packed, as usual, this year at Workday Rising. Users had plenty of options Tuesday night, CIC Plus was excited to co-host the Sheryl Crow concert with Collaborative and also the Alight party at Eyecandy.

Wednesday night users were treated to a performance by the Imagine Dragons for the Customer Appreciation Party at T-Mobile Arena.

Workday 2019 dates have yet to be announced but if you happen to be in Europe there’s still time to attend Workday Rising in Vienna November 13-15.
