CIC Plus and WOTC
Accurate, Efficient, Innovative
Recent Department of Labor statistics revealed companies lose over $2 billion in tax
credits yearly. At CIC Plus we help our clients recover their share of these missed opportunities.
Area Development magazine reports:
86% of companies are not sure if they collect all available credits
87% believe their current process needs improvement
63% are not committed to improving current processes
Trust the experts. CIC Plus has over 80 years of experience in all aspects of tax
credit maximization, specializing in the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program.
The federal government offers organizations tax credits and incentives designed to
offset federal tax liability for hiring individuals that have received some type of government assistance, veterans, ex-felons or those who live in certain targeted federal
zones.
There are a number of target groups identified by the federal WOTC program that
your applicants may be eligible for:
Qualified recipients of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families
(TANF)
Qualified veterans who are receiving food stamps
Veterans entitled to compensation for a service-connected disability
Ex-felons hired no later than one year after conviction/release
Designated community residents (ages 18-39)
Vocational rehabilitation referrals
Qualified summer youth (ages 16-17)
Qualified food stamp recipients (ages 18-39)
Qualified recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Long-term family assistance recipients
Unemployed Veterans
Disconnected youth (ages 16-24)
The amount of the tax credit varies by target group, but can be significant based on
the number of hours the employee works and for which target group they qualify.
