Late Tuesday, Congress finally worked out a partial deal to avert the full impact of the fiscal cliff. With President Obama’s signature in place, the deal will make the Bush administration’s tax cuts for individuals earning less than $400,000 annually (and couples earning less than $450,000 annually) permanent. However, it will raise rates on those who make more than that.

As many of you are probably already aware, W-2s for 2012 now require additional reporting for the Cost of Employer-Sponsored Health Coverage. This information is to be included in box 12, code DD. Every business will be required to address this new requirement this year.
